Discover 29 Latest Cards from Magic's TMNT Expansion (Including a Commander Deck!)

The world's beloved pizza-loving superheroes are coming to the popular trading card game. The popular TCG's company, the game's creators, announced a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion at a special panel held at NYCC. Is this a exciting addition or yet another Universes Beyond marketing move? We'll let you decide.

Take a look below at all the details revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, along with some useful context. Everything mentioned here launches on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — a special Pizza Bundle arrives a couple of weeks after on March 27.

Magic x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before we get into all the various unique products and collections available, we’ll examine at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by Wizards. Standard booster packs for the expansion are set at $6.99 each, while premium boosters should run $37.99 per pack.

Let's unpack a few shell-shocking details. First, there's a new mechanic named Sneak, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu, where players can cheat big creatures into the game field when an attacking creature isn’t blocked. The big difference in this case is that Sneak can apply to non-creature spells too. The designers also took the opportunity to clean up the ability a little (It counts as playing a spell, unlike Ninjutsu). The original ability is staying, but it's more likely we'll see Sneak in future sets from now on.

“If we ever were to return to the Kamigawa plane, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it was developed and it is iconic of that world,” an experienced game designer explained. “But in other settings, because the rules are cleaner and the new ability is what's going to be Standard-legal, it’s probable that we'd use Sneak.”

Another version of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is among four cards with special art created specifically for the set by TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman.

Additionally, if you're shocked by the rules text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play game cards that aren't in your main deck, so was I. But as per Wizards, it’s now a official card in every format of Magic.

Anyway, here are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from the TMNT set:

As per the company’s existing guidelines, all these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard play. The designers say they took care to ensure the new cards and gameplay elements meshed well with current Standard expansions like Edge of Eternities.

“I led the development for 15 months and we knew it would be in standard and which sets were going to be near it in Standard,” the designer commented. “We designed to ensure that they work well with some of those sets including Edge of Eternities.”

As an instance, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet archetype built around artifact cards.

“They combine to offer the pieces for a fun Standard deck,” the designer added.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!

Following a decision to design any Commander precons for Spider-Man and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, Wizards is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it includes six distinct legendary cards who could work as your Commander based on how you combine them (five of the cards have a special Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that allows starting with two of them in the command area rather than only one). Take a look for yourself:

The Turtle Power precon is priced at $69.99, although that could easily go up based on demand. Wizards indicated that it contains 43 new cards in total, which translates to an extra 37 Turtle-themed cards in addition to the six legendary commanders pictured earlier. (Calculating roughly, that also means approximately 20 reprinted cards if we assume the precon includes 37 land cards.)

What will the Turtles version of the iconic Sol Ring appear? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

TMNT Bundle (Regular)

Typically, Wizards is offering a collection. This one costs $69.99 and contains the following:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • Fifteen Foil basic lands
  • Fifteen Regular land cards
  • Two helper cards
  • 1 Foil promo card
  • One Large life tracker
  • One Card-storage box

Pizza-Themed Bundle

This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, mostly in that it comes in a box resembling a pizza delivery box. Each pizza-themed bundle costs $99.99 and includes the following:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • 1 Collector Booster
  • 25 Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • 5 Foil pizza-themed lands
  • 2 Foil Pizza Bundle promo cards
  • 2 Reference cards
  • One Oversized spindown life counter
  • 1 Card-storage box

If you’re wondering what a “Pizza Bundle promo card” is, it’s essentially a reprint of an older card featuring brand-new TMNT artwork. The team showed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza. In total, there are six distinct Pizza Bundle promo cards available.

This special bundle launches a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This unique product is designed for a four-player draft and costs $119.99. It includes:

  • Twelve Standard Boosters (ideal for four people to draft)
  • One Premium Booster (aka, the reward for winning)
  • Ninety Non-foil basic lands (to build your draft deck)
  • 10 Regular token cards
  • One Draft insert (a one-sheet guide to drafting the set)

Cooperative Play Set

Lastly, Wizards are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its continued initiative to develop Magic game products aimed at beginners. In this case, Turtle Team-Up is a special set of prebuilt decks that allow two players join forces against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.

The general idea here that every Boss card grants special abilities to the creatures contained in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically plays one other card each turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
