The Pop Star Plays a Twisted Persona of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
The celebrated musician is gearing up for a major cinematic presence in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, she plays what she refers to as a twisted version of her own persona.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever witnessed, the star remarked.
She clarified in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration originated from the demand to make one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The debut trailer, launched on Thursday, blends real clips from her recent tour with made-up backstage scenes.
The mockumentary is overseen and co-authored by the director, who shared that the plot focuses on a reality where Charli made entirely different choices during the marketing of her chart-topping release Brat.

The mockumentary is only one of many upcoming screen roles for Charli, who already starred in three festival films in the current year.

Additionally, she agreed to feature in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

The month of February will also include the launch of the filmmaker’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include fresh tracks from the artist.
She is also set to compose the score for the story Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch soon.
The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on January 30.
